2011

Well our household 2011 goal is to go soda free. Today is the 2nd day of 2011 and I already had a soda. I woke up at 6 am with major headache, took medicine and after two hours I still had the headache, so I drank a pepsi I had stashed in the garage. No more headache! It's very difficult for me to refrain myself from pepsi, but I'm giving it my all. Everyone tells me to just drink diet. But the overall picture is soda isn't good for you diet or non diet, and I would rather not raise James around it. Chris isn't much better, as he can drink 44oz of diet coke in an hour and not even realize he drank a soda when I ask him a couple hours later. So when you come over to our house, dont complain about water, milk and juice!

It's the slow time for me at work, not a lot of people take time off Jan-April. This coming week I'm only working 4 days, the following week I'll work 4 days, but their only half days. However the good news is were switching daycare to someone who goes day by day so we'll be saving money that way (and I get to spend more time with James!!!!! WIN WIN!). Is everyone doing the snow dance? I know we are!!!!!

So last week was my last full time schedule for a while. I was going through a house magazine and found an AMAZING house for sale in Wasilla. It had a large detached shop, carport (which is what I perfer believe it or not), and it was almost 5 acres with mature tree's, away from the road, good location, and the RIGHT PRICE! So after I point it out to Chris and he gets excited about it, two days later he gets a call from the company he had work lined up with in Wasilla that they now have room for him. DAY LATE DOLLAR SHORT! Words cant explain how frustrating it was for us. If I had toughed it out and commuted for 4 months (thats being away from my family for 12 hours a day, 5 days a week), we could have had the house rented out by now, and possibly be living in the Valley! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. BUT everything happens for a reason .... if it was ment to be it would have happened ...... right?

Hopefully the weather holds out and we'll be in Fairbanks next weekend for a short visit, it would be nice to get of the house for a while. Alright, laundry needs switched and clothes need folded. It may be a new year, but some things never change!
